Before booking your tour, be sure we have the date you want available! To request a date for your group ~ call (530) 642-5238 or email the Operations Director.

Guided Tours are scheduled Monday thru Friday between 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM

Guided Tours are not given on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Schools and organizational groups are encouraged to participate in the tour programs. Informed volunteer guides relay information geared to your group needs and interests.

Groups may also tour without guides but must be scheduled on the park calendar so as to not interfere with the guided tours.

After you call to confirm the availability of your date, please fill in Guided Tour Application form and mail it with your check, made payable to the City of Placerville, to Gold Bug Park and Mine Tours, 2635 Gold Bug Lane, Placerville CA 95667. We must receive your check at least 2 weeks prior to the tour date.

Be sure to include extra time in your schedule to view the HATTIE MUSEUM and GIFT SHOP. You may want to plan other activities, under your supervision, such as art lessons, writing and workbook lessons, hiking and nature walks, photo sessions, etc.

Be sure to print and complete the Guided Tour Application, copy it (keep a copy!) and return with your check.

Guided Tours will be ready to start on time at the time you designate. Please be prompt. If a problem arises on the day of the tour, please call the park office, (530) 642-5207. We will be waiting for you.

There will be no refunds for No Shows - 48 hour cancellation notice is required for refunds.

All rules and laws of the City of Placerville and the State of California apply during your visit at the park. We expect proper discipline to be maintained to avoid the cancellation of a tour in progress.
