About Gold Bug Park

You'll step back in time when you enter the Gold Bug Mine! It's a REAL gold mine from the Gold Rush days. Explore the Gold Bug and the mining museum. Find your riches in the gem panning trough. Be sure to visit our historic Stamp Mill and working Blacksmith Shop. Hattie's Gift Shop will be open for that special one-of-a-kind memento of your mining experience.

The Mine tour, Museum, Gift Shop, Stamp MIll and Blacksmith Shop are open 10 am-4 pm. There are no Mine tours after 3:30 pm.

Gem panning is available for those who are interested and is $2 per hour.

The park’s free admission provides access to the Mining Museum, Stamp Mill presentations, mineral displays and Blacksmith demonstrations. The Gold Bug Mine tour includes a self-guided audio device and the use of a hardhat for adults.

The tour price for adults is $10.00; youths 6-17 yrs. $6.00; kids 5 and under are free. Other free attractions include dog friendly hiking trails, the Liberty picnic pavilion and parking.

The Gold Bug Mine and most park attractions are suitable for adults, seniors, children and all guests with limited access needs.
