Thrills, Chills and Tommyknockers!
Is it true our gold mines haunted? Got the guts to find out?
Don’t miss our 2nd annual spook-house thriller the weekend before Halloween (October 28 and 29) where both the Gold Bug and Priest mines come alive with some extremely frightening ghosts, ghouls and Tommyknockers.
There will be fun games, free appetizers and apples for everyone. Advanced tickets for both events are available at the park’s Gift Shop and Placerville News Co. at 409 Main St. near the Bell Tower in Placerville. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the events. Guests at either event are encouraged to come in costume.
The nighttime adults only event (18+) is Saturday, October 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. In addition to the appetizers, wine and beer can be purchased by the glass. Cost of a ticket is only $10 per guest. There will be a silent auction and a costume contest in the categories of Most Original, Scariest and Funniest. All guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight.
Bring the kids the next day for a good scare as well! On Sunday, October 29. from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. there will be a spookhouse geared toward the younger crowd. There will not be a costume contest for kids, however. Cost per guest is only $5.00. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Helping to make this a killer weekend of fun the Georgetown Regulators have dug up some particularly frightening evil doers and monsters . Their presence will also provide some unique photo opportunities.
This event is sponsored by the nonprofit Gold Bug Park Development Committee. All proceeds will be used to preserve, protect and display the park’s amazing Gold Rush history.
