Take a step back in time when you enter the Gold Bug Mine! A real gold mine from the Gold Rush days. We are open every weekend from noon to 4 p.m. from Nov. 1 to March 31 and 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. April 1 to October 31. Walk through the Gold Bug Mine, study the mining museum, visit the Stamp Mill and Blacksmith Shop and purchase a unique memento of your visit in Hattie's Gift Shop. On the audio-wand at the mine, listen to a California Gold Rush miner tell about the tools he used to get at that elusive yellow metal - GOLD! As you enter the 352 foot drift of this historic hard rock mine, you will feel the cool air brush against your face. Bring a picnic lunch. Take a relaxing hike. Check out the gold rush museum. Gold Bug Park promises to be a wonderful experience for you and your family. The Hattie Gift Shop has many treasures to remind you of your visit. During our winter hours our Gem Panning trougs are closed.
